You can hate him or love him but cannot ignore him. Narendra Modi of late has come to tremendous limelight with an image of the savior of India’s common man and economy.
If he has achieved what others cannot even dream of, why shouldn’t he announce? He has not only reached on top and developed a growth model but has also been able to sustain it. Lets ask ourselves if we even used to talk about Gujarat about 10 years back. Some of his noteworthy achievements and recognitions are:-
* Gujarat Ratna by Shri Poona Gujarati Bandhu Samaj at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch on celebration of centenary year.
* e-Ratna award by the Computer Society of India.
* Best Chief Minister – In a nationwide survey conducted in 2006 by India Today magazine, Narendra
Modi was declared the Best Chief Minister in the country.
* Asian Winner of the fDi Personality of the Year Award for 2009 by fDi Magazine.
* In March 2012, Modi appeared on the cover of Time magazine, one of India’s few politicians to have done so. His leadership was described as being strong and businesslike; one that could guide India towards honesty and efficiency.
Some people are perplexed as to why he was not noticed as much as this before.
The simple answer lies in observing at how the current government is perceived arguably as the most hated and corrupt government since independence. The people look for an alternative and when they compare the status of their state vis a vis Gujarat, they feel bonded and attached.
What Modi has been able to do is to work at a speed that interests major business houses. Corporate sector works on accountability and timelines, something that is inherent in the NaMo work culture. Rather its Modi who puts the pressure of timelines on these corporates. The next few lines describes the same.
One of the example is that he diligently follows up on the leads of his summits or interactions. If the project interests him, he comes straight to the point of asking the corporate house of what they require from the government. Bureaucratic clearances are then brought about at a sharp speed and the pressure to execute and implement is back on the corporate house. Modi just follows up post this and amazes with his credibility of commitment.
The other aspect is that his governance is majorly seen as corruption free. In addition, his government is politically stable. This gives confidence to businesses to invest as policy decisions are not expected to be changed overnight. Something that the central government hasn’t been able to establish. The trust deficit shows up with dwindling markets and economy.
Its only wise to conclude that Modi has put bread on the plates of lots of his basher brigade. If he was not around, whom would they spent their energies on? This anti-modi campaign has helped them secure their future but in process have destroyed the aam aadmi and aurat of this country. They need to understand that people have started to see through all this. The more you defame, the more powerful he becomes.
Modi is scoring heavy blows to his critics with justice for 2002 victims. He sees no indictment from any court of law and slowly people are realizing that in history of independent India, 2002 riots were fully under control in just 3 days. The common man including Muslims knows that when the chief minister had asked for additional force from MP, Rajasthan and Maharashtra, no one obliged. All were Congress ruled states which are supposed to be pro-muslims. Vote bank politics and using the community for electoral gains is the naked truth which has been seen by one and all today. Just Compare 2002 with uncountable riots in Congress ruled states and times, one sees difference of the sky and earth.
This brigade has new entrants joining them every now and then. Nitish kumar and few others paid media groups showcase themselves as the foxes whose grapes have turned sour. Suddenly, it looks like its Modi with common man against the Govt of the day along with anti-modi brigade. Needless to say, who will end up having the last laugh.
A technological ideator and marketing genius, the time has arrived for unveiling of one of the most robust and powerful leaders of the modern times. He has what it takes to lead not only India but the world as majority of us say. The straight way to check this is to give him our clear mandate and see what he brings to the table. With the Modi Mantra clout growing day by day, the onus is on the BJP to declare what is inevitable now. Are they listening?
