The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is a British public service broadcaster. On the face of it, BBC says its neither state owned or state controlled but in reality, the British Govt. have the final editorial control over content.
Established under a Royal Charter, BBC operates under its Agreement with the Secretary of State for Culture. The British intelligence service, MI5, is still engaged in vetting of applicants for BBC positions. Note that the existence of MI5 itself was not acknowledged until 1989.
Job applicants are still secretly vetted by MI5 for their political views without their knowledge ofcourse. This is officially denied by BBC but its an open secret in corridors of power. In 2011, news presenter Peter Sissons, said that “DNA of the BBC is firmly of the Left”.
Another BBC presenter, Andrew Marr, said that “The BBC is not impartial or neutral. It has a liberal bias, not so much a party-political bias. It is better expressed as a cultural liberal bias”. Former BBC director Roger Mosey classified it as “liberal defensive.”
Hindu & Sikh community of UK has for long accused BBC of appeasing the Muslim community by making a disproportionate number of programs on Islam at expense of covering other faiths. In 2008, BBC referred to the men who carried out Mumbai attacks as ‘Gunmen’ & not ‘Terrorists’.
BBC has an Hindu bias that stems from a culturally ingrained racism against us arising from the imperialist and neo-colonialist British Raj. BBC is the champion of Anti Hindu bigotry and anything that portrays Hinduism in bad light is immediately picked up by the broadcaster.
In 2009, a muslim presenter at BBC said that Sikhs should not carry Kirpan which is a key item of faith of our Sikh brothers. In Mar 2012, the BBC described Holi as “full of filth, disgustingly foul, grossly obscene & morally vicious festival”.
The Russians had called out BBC of their bias as early as 2007 & said, “Any media which is Govt financed is propaganda”. British Govt via BBC still shows off the cold war loyalties towards the US/NATO & presents a completely skewed coverage of others esp the erstwhile colonies.
BBC holds nothing but contempt for India. After their racist wicked empire was kicked out of India, they haven’t expressed remorse about the atrocities committed. Instead, its focus is always to prove that natives are failing & India could have done much better under enslavement.
And finally, a Fun Fact: Britain Hindus have become the first non white minority to exceed average per capita income of the native whites & are more likely to vote conservative than labour. To sum up, BBC is a racial mindset of superiority & we must defeat this mindset in India.
